So Today I'm going to share some of Most Common and Handy Abbreviations used while chatting on Internet or even Tweeting or Facebook or Any Other Social Networking Site.
                                    
As In now days Peoples are going to Addicted of Facebook and Facebook chat is one of the most commonlly chat program for them.
Like any other online chat, abbreviations are very useful to save your time on typing and say things in shortcut’s.
People who just joined Facebook OR started using of any social networking sites Don’t Know these abbreviations, but once you start using them in day-to-day chatting, it will be easier to remember and understand.

Most of the people, who use Facebook, use short-hand, or different abbreviations to convey their messages in a faster manner.
However, for people who are new to Facebook, it sometimes happens that they can’t understand the Facebook lingo that people uses when they write a comment, etc.
Yes, it also happened to me, more times than I am comfortable admitting. There have been times when I couldn’t understand the abbreviations that my friends used when they sent me a message or left a comment on the images I had uploaded on my Facebook account.

So I search about Abbreviations and came to know about what the Facebook abbreviations, really meant and that is why I am writing this article to let you know some of the most commonly used words while chatting. So that you won’t have to face any trouble the next time someone writes something which you can’t understand and are too proud enough to ask someone for its meaning.

ASAP: I really like this Facebook abbreviation. The next time you read this, keep in mind that it means “As Soon As Possible” and not something else you might have thought about.
AAMOF: As a matter of fact.
ADN: Any Day Now. It took me some time to realize what it meant.
AKA: Also Known As.
ATM: Nope, this doesn’t stand for the “ATM” machine. It means; at this moment.
BBL: Be Back Later. A good way and fast way to tell people that you will be back soon.
BC: Be Cool. I have used this one many times.
BM: Bite Me. Yes, this might be handy under the correct circumstances. So, it is good that you know about it.
BTW: By the Way.
BRB: Be right back!
BBQ: Better be quick.
BOT: Back on Topic. Took me some time to realize it wasn’t short for robot.
CFY: Calling For You.
CTS: Changing the Subject.
CU: It means the same as it sounds, See You!
CUL: See you Later.
DIY: Do it yourself.
DND: The most useful Facebook chat code for: Do not Disturb.
EOS: End of Story.
F2F: Face to Face.
FAQ: Many of you might already know about this one, Frequently asked questions.
FB: My personal favorite. It means “Facebook”.
FOS: Freedom of Speech.
FYEO: A very special kind of abbreviation which means, For your eyes only.
FYI: For your information. Again, many of us know about this one.
G2B: Going to Bed.
GAL: Get a Life.
GR8: Great.
GtG: Got to Go.
HAND: Have a Nice Day.
IC: As same as it sounds, stands for; I See.
IDC: I don’t care.
IMO: In my opinion.
IMHO: In my humble opinion
IS: I’m sorry.
JAM: Just a minute.
JIC: Just in Case.
L8R: Later.
LAM: Leave a message.
LMA: Leave me alone.
LMHO: Laughing my Head off.
LMK: Let me know.

OMG: Oh my God. If you ask me, I find this Facebook abbreviation very useful.
PM: Private Message. I though it meant the ‘PM’ in time for very long.

Besides these All, There are also a lot of other Fb abbreviations that people use; however, I have provided you with a list of 50+ abbreviations that are most commonly used while texting or chatting. Though, make sure you use these abbreviations while chatting only, and avoid them at any cost while writing professional Email or having a conversation. As, using abbreviated words while talking are considered as spam in standard english.

You can even try to come up with your own Facebook abbreviations and maybe the abbreviations that you come up with might start to be used by other people as well.

40+ Keyboard Shortcuts That Work in All Web Browsers..Whether you're using Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, ... Each browser also has some of its own, browser-specific shortcuts..which are shown in this Article..



As we Know Each major web browser shares a large number of keyboard shortcuts and some of them are common in all web Browsers..Whether you’re using Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Apple Safari, or Opera – these keyboard shortcuts will work in your browser.

Each browser also has some of its own, browser-specific shortcuts, but learning the ones they have in common will serve you well as you switch between different browsers and computers. This list includes a few mouse actions, too.

Tabs

Ctrl+1-8 – Switch to the specified tab, counting from the left.
Ctrl+9 – Switch to the last tab.



Ctrl+Tab – Switch to the next tab – in other words, the tab on the right. (Ctrl+Page Up also works, but not in Internet Explorer.)
Ctrl+Shift+Tab – Switch to the previous tab – in other words, the tab on the left. (Ctrl+Page Down also works, but not in Internet Explorer.)
Ctrl+W, Ctrl+F4 – Close the current tab.
Ctrl+Shift+T – Reopen the last closed tab.
Ctrl+T – Open a new tab.
Ctrl+N – Open a new browser window.
Alt+F4 – Close the current window. (Works in all applications.)

Mouse Actions for Tabs

Middle Click a Tab – Close the tab.
Ctrl+Left Click, Middle Click – Open a link in a background tab.  
Shift+Left Click – Open a link in a new browser window.
Ctrl+Shift+Left Click – Open a link in a foreground tab.

Navigation  

Alt+Left Arrow, Backspace – Back.
Alt+Right Arrow, Shift+Backspace – Forward.
F5 – Reload.
Ctrl+F5 – Reload and skip the cache, re-downloading the entire website.
Escape – Stop.
Alt+Home – Open homepage.

Zooming

Ctrl and +, Ctrl+Mousewheel Up – Zoom in.
Ctrl and -, Ctrl+Mousewheel Down — Zoom out.
Ctrl+0 – Default zoom level.
F11 – Full-screen mode.

Scrolling

Space, Page Down – Scroll down a frame.
Shift+Space, Page Up – Scroll up a frame.
Home – Top of page.
End – Bottom of page.
Middle Click – Scroll with the mouse. (Windows only)

Address Bar

Ctrl+L, Alt+D, F6 – Focus the address bar so you can begin typing.
Ctrl+Enter – Prefix www. and append .com to the text in the address bar, and then load the website. For example, type howtogeek into the address bar and press Ctrl+Enter to open www.howtogeek.com.
Alt+Enter – Open the location in the address bar in a new tab.

Search

Ctrl+K, Ctrl+E – Focus the browser’s built-in search box or focus the address bar if the browser doesn’t have a dedicated search box. (Ctrl+K doesn’t work in IE, Ctrl+E does.)
Alt+Enter – Perform a search from the search box in a new tab.
Ctrl+F, F3 – Open the in-page search box to search on the current page.
Ctrl+G, F3 – Find the next match of the searched text on the page.
Ctrl+Shift+G, Shift+F3 – Find the previous match of the searched text on the page.

History & Bookmarks

Ctrl+H – Open the browsing history.
Ctrl+J – Open the download history.
Ctrl+D – Bookmark the current website.
Ctrl+Shift+Del – Open the Clear Browsing History window.

Other Functions

Ctrl+P – Print the current page.
Ctrl+S – Save the current page to your computer.
Ctrl+O – Open a file from your computer.
Ctrl+U – Open the current page’s source code. (Not in IE.)
F12 – Open Developer Tools. (Requires Firebug extension for Firefox.)
